What should I, or my child, wear?
- For Ballet, a classical look is suggested: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair pulled back out of your face.
- For Lyrical, any color leotard with tights are required. Shorts or capri pants are optional in this class. For shoes you can wear a pull-on jazz shoe, footies, or no shoes at all!
- For Hip Hop & Jazz, Oversized t-shirts and baggy pants are optional. Anything you can move in comfortably!
- For Tap, black tap shoes are required. Younger kids are required to wear leotard and tights, and teenagers and adults can wear pants, and a shirt.
- For Ballroom, slacks or a dress are best so that you will perform better. Men should wear a collared shirt. Character shoes, ballroom shoes, or shoes with a slight heel are suggested for women.
- We sell shoes here at Life Moves that are available for purchase, for your convenience! The dancer will be sized, and the order will be called in by our staff. Your shoes usually take 1-2 weeks to arrive. For other places here in the area, you can try KK's Dance wear located on Waters Avenue in Savannah. Also, Payless and Wal-mart may have what you need!
How do we pay for class?
- You can pay by Cash, Check, and all major Credit Cards. Payments can be made Monthly, per Semester, and Yearly. Auto Draft is coming soon!
Can I watch my child's class?
- Our 1-way observation windows are provided in our studio. New for 2012 is a live video feed of each class in our waiting room. We also have a parent observation week where we allow parents to sit in class and watch.
- If the parents sit in it is very distracting for the students. There are too many authority figures and the children either lose class time looking for Mom & Dad’s approval, or they act out to see what reaction they will get. We encourage parents of young children to wait in the lobby so that if they are needed they are close by, however you are also free to leave during class.
